Fischer has been doing a lot of painting around here the past few days. FYI - I hate paint. I wonder why... But, because I am trying to be a good mom and let him experiment with his artistic side... we've been painting. The first few times, he seemed more interested in color mixing and paint stirring than the actual end product... which gave him lots of grayish masterpieces. Today he decided that painting his nose and his hands would help his inner Van Gogh escape... So I embraced it, stripped him down and let him go at it (in the tub of course)!
Little did I know that he'd paint inside his ears and up his nose!

i think i need to take a page out of your patience book...brett colored on his pants with marker and that was it -- no more coloring for the day! good idea to let him just have a go at it and try things out!
I'm with you - I hate paint! I took Brighton to Discovery Museum and she painted there with her feet! I liked that because clean up was not left to me!
This is precisely what I love about preschool. They get to experiment, and I don't have to clean up the mess! Wonderful agreement! It is fun to see them go hog wild though.
We've been painting every other day for about two weeks. Avery can't get enough of it! I'm about over it... especially since I could give you a run for your money with that last picture of your boy. Avery decided it would be fun to paint her entire face black. Oh... and her hair. That was a fun tub time. I always try to remind myself that I'll miss this time when the kids are older so I'm trying to embrace the mess. (And you know that it huge for me!)
